Back in 2009 Seth Godin was already telling us that it’s the Real Relationships in Social Media that count, if we’re talking about ROI then consider how many real relationships you have via your social media efforts! 

It’s more an understanding of what you’re setting up to accomplish. How well does your sales strategy work? What’s the conversion ratio? What’s the positive or negative sentiment out there and how can we shift that? We need to address ROI where it has real tangible values in the organization: sales, product and service development.

Tenerife Ladies Match Play at Golf Las Americas 10-12 June 2011 

Tenerif Ladies Match Play 2011

The Tenerife Ladies Open which is part of the Ladies European Tour has a new format and will now be called The Tenerife Ladies Match Play. A field of 32 professional players which will include the top 30 from the European rankings plus 2 invited guests, they will play in a knock out formula on 10th and 11th June to leave the best 8 players to fight it out on the final day in a stroke play competition over 18 holes. 

The Tenerife Ladies Matchplay event will be held at Golf Las Americas from 9th to 12th June.

The power of RSS!

RSS feed Sorted Sites

After having a chat with Pamela @secrettenerife about the power of using RSS we decided to conduct a little experiment here at Sorted Sites. 

To test the power of RSS feeds we set up a new page http://www.sortedsites.com/antivirus and added an antivirus threats RSS feed, pointed a few links to the page and nothing more.

In a short period of time we saw our site rank high on Google’s page one with some real heavyweights from the Antivirus Industry. I’m not sure this page is very relevant for people searching for Antivirus Threats but it does give us one or two other ideas how we might use RSS feeds.

A Business page now has the ability to comment on another facebook page, this is the biggest new feature one which is really important for buisness owners to understand.

The admin of a page can also choose to post comments on their page now as their own profiles or as admin of the page. This is a great change for me especially when I’m admin of over 50 facebook page! 

I said it would happen. Google have now confirmed that they will use data from social sites in ranking. This is a major announcement and one that many local business’s in Tenerife should take into consideration!
