UTTERLY USELESS!! Moviten Adeje & Vodafone Tenerife

I’m extremely disappointed with Moviten Adeje (vodafone)! We moved over from Movistar (Telefonica) to Vodafone after the attractive sales lady Caterina showed us how our business can save up to 30% off our phone bill… 18 months on when I compare what we spent the previous 18 months with Movistar (Telefonica) we have actually spent 30% more!!!

Reasons for total dissatisfaction:

1. They could not guarantee the ADSL connection speed that they promised and suggested that we remain with Movistar, this means we could also not save on the costs of a fixed IP.

2. When we call out from the office line it shows up as a mobile number, it also means that if someone has to call us back it’s on a mobile rate! They promised us that this would be sorted within a month….eighteen months on this is still the issue.

3. In the quote it shows a one off fee of €15 per an extension, we have X5. However in the 2nd month they billed us again and said this is in fact a monthly fee. WTF!!!

4. After the sale was made Catrina did not want to deal with any of our issue’s, we were passed on Noelia who has not shown the slightest interest in us.

5. I asked Noelia when our contract expires or how much it would be to buy ourselves out she replied our contract is for 18months and we would have to pay over €1,000 to come out of the contract because each extension is treated as a separate contract!

6. Not even Noelia can make sense of the way the Vodafone invoices are presented, it is totally unclear with all the discounts and packages to get a true reflection on what you are paying.

7. Today I visited the Moviten office in Adeje and asked when our contract expires and was told that it has just been auto renewed until 2012…again WTF!!!

I can go on and on about Moviten and Vodafone but to be honest they have just worn me out I don’t know what else to do other than waste my time to write this and warn other people about another useless Telecom Giant!

Moviten (vodafone) Office in Adeje Tenerife!

Say NO to Grupo MGO S.A!

I have little hope for this Island of Tenerife until the last of the old guard have finally been put down. Today I have paid GRUPO MGO SA €500 for staff medical tests that didn’t even take place.

Tenerife/Spain’s labor laws need serious attention and overhaul if we are to get out of this crisis otherwise companies like GRUPO MGO SA  will continue to exploit the situation for their own ends at the expense of small business.

Attention Tenerife Hoteliers

Recently I have been working on a marketing plan for a local hotel, here are some interesting points from that plan:

  1. The Internet has established itself as the main travel planning and booking channel.
  2. The Hyper-Interactive Travel Consumer has become your main customer.
  3. Engaging guests via Social Media is now a must.
  4. There is a growing demand for mobile travel services.
  5. There is a need to launch promotional campaigns simultaneously across all available marketing channels offline and online. SOURCE
